Best Destinations for Women Traveling Together in 2026

Some trips are good. Trips with the right women are something else entirely.

The pace changes. Conversations go somewhere real, maybe slightly unexpected. You stay for one more glass, take the detour, say yes to the thing you wouldn't have done alone. The destinations that work best for this kind of travel aren't necessarily the most obvious ones. They're the places that have enough depth to hold a group's attention, enough ease to let you actually relax, and enough beauty to make you all go quiet at the same moment.

Here are five we keep coming back to in 2026.

Jordan Jordan is ancient and intimate in equal measure. Petra at dawn, before the crowds, is one of those experiences that genuinely stops you. But it's the everyday warmth of the country that stays with you longer: the hospitality, the shared meals, the sense that guests are taken seriously here.

For women traveling independently or in a group, Jordan also has a reputation worth knowing about. McCabe World Travel’s VP of Strategy, Amanda Halacy, who loved the country so much on her first solo trip that she ended up moving there, puts it plainly: "As a woman moving through Jordan solo, I generally felt safer than being on my own in many places in the US."

Beyond the sense of ease, the range is remarkable. Wadi Rum for desert and stargazing (yes, where Dune and Star Wars filmed). Petra and Jerash for history. Aqaba's Red Sea for snorkeling and sun. And Amman, with its museums, design scene, and a proper city energy that surprises most first-time visitors. The whole country is drivable in around six hours, roads are well-maintained, and English is widely spoken. It's more accessible than people expect, and more rewarding than almost anywhere.

Seville Seville has a rhythm that's hard to resist. Late dinners, flamenco in narrow streets, golden evening light that seems to go on forever. It's a city that rewards slowing down. A morning in the Alcázar, an afternoon wandering Triana, an evening that starts over tapas and ends somewhere you didn't plan. For a group trip it's close to perfect: social, beautiful, and genuinely easy to navigate.

Botswana For something more transformative, Botswana. The Okavango Delta is one of the world's great wild places and the camp experiences here, small, intimate, and expertly guided, suit a group of women beautifully. There's a particular kind of quiet that settles over you on safari, watching elephants move at dusk with a drink in hand. It stays with you.

Portugal Portugal belongs on this list not just because it's having a moment, but because it genuinely deserves one. The Alentejo for long lunches, cork forests, and wine that costs nothing and tastes extraordinary. Lisbon for the kind of neighbourhood exploration that fills a full day without trying. The Douro Valley for river, vineyards, and light that photographers chase from across the world. It's a destination that works at every pace.

Morocco Morocco is sensory, layered, and completely alive. The medinas of Marrakech and Fes reward women who want to explore on their own terms. Riads that feel like private worlds, souks where the best finds go to those who take their time, food that is worth planning a trip around on its own. Pair it with the Atlas Mountains or the Sahara and you have a trip that covers more emotional ground than most.

The best group trips don't happen by accident.

They happen because someone chose a destination with enough substance to hold everyone's attention, enough beauty to create those shared moments of silence, and enough ease to let the trip actually breathe. These five destinations do all of that.

Wherever you go, go with intention and go with the people who make every place better.
