“In vino veritas” [In wine is truth] Plato |
|
My dream of amazing adventures and extraordinary places really motivated me to consider a job as a travel consultant, so that I could share this with interested travelers.
I came to McCabe World Travel with years of experience working for a European cruise line, featuring rivers cruises through Europe and ocean liners that made their way around the world. During my years there, I gained in depth knowledge of Europe and the importance of the details in itinerary planning.
At McCabe World Travel, I have found great pleasure in creating customized vacations and unique travel experiences as well as recommending the right tour package or cruise; all depending on ones individual interests and desires. Getting to know my clients, growing their world, and giving them special memories is very rewarding for me.
Over the years, my travels have carried me to numerous beautiful and interesting places, not only in Europe but also here in the US and in the South Pacific. During many of these experiences, I found myself in the heart of wine regions, gazing across lush vineyards, and became enthusiastic and curious to learn about local wines and the importance they play in the community. This sparked a passion and I now embrace all aspects of wine culture through volunteering at local Virginia wineries, educational opportunities with clubs and wine stores, and of course through travel.
One of the things I find fascinating is how wine can tell the story of a country and its people. When you travel through wine, you gain unique insight of a region and open yourself to truly appreciate one’s culture and share in a common passion for the good things in life. I am always excited to offer my valued clients unique, luxurious opportunities to see the world through wine whether it be with a cruise, a private villa rental, a biking or walking trip, individual customized trips, or organized group tours.
The world is becoming a smaller place, and I look forward to what the travel trends of the future will bring to my clients and me. |
